Delivery of PT-19s began in 1940, and the aircraft soon proved that they were not the lethal instruments of destruction in the hands of embryo pilots which many had predicted, versus the easier to fly and more forgiving biplanes which had traditionally been used for training. The PT-19 used a 175-hp Ranger L-440-1 six-cylinder inverted inline engine. A total of 270 PT-19s was built before it was replaced by a more powerful PT-19A. All airplane models are Hand Carved, Hand Painted Mahogany and come fully assembled with removable desk stand.
