The P-82 Twin Mustang was essentially two P-51 Mustangs joined together for longer range, and usually flown from the left-hand seat, with its radar carried in a giant centerline pod on the P-82G night-fighter. In 1948 all production B to G variants were redesignated from P-82 to F-82. The P-82 was the first US aircraft to operate over Korea, and was the first aircraft to destroy an enemy aircraft in the Korean War. The P/F-82G had a maximum speed of 461 mph at 21,000 ft, service ceiling of 38.900 ft, and a maximum range of 2,240 miles. It had six wing-mounted 12.7mm machine guns, plus up to four 1,000 lb bombs, or four auxiliary fuel tanks on the underwing racks. All airplane models are Hand Carved, Hand Painted Mahogany and come fully assembled with removable desk stand.
