Dornier Do-17Z Flying Pencil model airplane

Originally designed as a six-passenger mailplane, three prototypes were built in 1934, but the aircraft's slim fuselage provided such limited passenger accommodation that all three were returned to the manufacturer. The design had military potential, however. Two initial production versions, a reconnaissance version and a bomber version, made their operational debut in Spain during 1937. The Do 17Z was the most numerous of the Do 17s, with some 1,700 being built between 1939 and 1940. The Do-17Z had a maximum speed of 255 mph at 4,000 ft, cruising speed of 186 mph at 13,125 ft, service ceiling of 26,905 ft, and a range of 721 miles. Armament was up to seven 7.92-mm MG 15 machine guns, plus 2,205 lb. of bombs.

All airplane models are Hand Carved, Hand Painted Mahogany and come fully assembled with removable desk stand.
