In December, 1985, Beech Aircraft Corporation acquired the Diamond II executive jet from Mitsubishi, and it was then marketed worldwide (except for Japan) as the Model 400 Beechjet. The first Beech-assembled aircraft was rolled out on May 19, 1986 and deliveries began in June. In 1989, Beech announced the Model 400A Beechjet, featuring increases in payload and ceiling, greater cabin volume, a rear lavatory, and improved soundproofing. Deliveries of this version began in early 1990. The Model 400A Beechjet had a maximum speed at 29,000 ft of 531 mph, cruising speed at 39,000 ft of 515 mph, ceiling of 45,000 ft, and a range of 2,222, miles with four passengers. Beech teamed with McDonnell Douglas and FlightSafety International to offer a military version known as the T-1A Jayhawk (a model we also carry). This model is in precision polymer to exacting specifications. It is hand painted, and comes fully assembled with removable desk stand. Beechjet
